EVENT LOCATION & GETTING THERE:
The guest entrance to Metropolis Events is via the exterior of the Southgate Precinct, opposite Quay West Suites – please refer to the map below.
If you arrive by Uber or Taxi:
The closest drop off / pick up point is Southgate Avenue at Hamer Hall. The taxi rank is outside Flinders Street Station, opposite Federation Square.
- Walk towards Yarra River and take the spiral staircase to upper promenade (top level)
- The Metropolis entrance is via the exterior of the building opposite Quay West Suites
If you arrive by public transport:
- Train: Flinders Street Train Station is a short walk to the venue – exit via Flinders Walk (Yarra River side) make your way via the bridge across to Southbank and at the end of the Southgate Precinct, take the spiral staircase to the upper level – the entrance is opposite Quay West Suites
- Tram: Stop 14 – Arts Centre – walk along the Upper Promenade past Hamer Hall and the entrance is opposite Quay West Suites
- Bus: Art Centre Stop 1 – walk along the Upper Promenade past Hamer Hall and the entrance is opposite Quay West Suites
Parking:
Southgate Car Park (near the Langham Hotel), operated by Wilson is the closest parking option. Entry to the car park via Southgate Avenue or City Road.
- Take the lift to “upper and podium level”
- Exit the lift lobby, turn right and proceed to the St Kilda Rd end of Southgate Precinct
- Pass The Deck Restaurant on your right, exit the Southgate Precinct and turn a sharp right
- The Metropolis entrance is via the exterior of the building opposite Quay West Suites
