Dear Oxbridge Partners and Affiliates,

Professor Emeritus Michael Vitale (Chair of the Harvard Club of Australia) and Dr Paul Howe (Oxbridge Member and Harvard Alumnus) would like to invite Members and Friends of Oxbridge to join the Harvard alumni for the 2022 Global Networking Night on Wednesday, March 16th, at the Treasury Gardens Melbourne.

Harvard has more alumni, faculty, and researchers who have won Nobel Prizes (161) and Fields Medals (18) than any other university in the world and more alumni who have been members of the U.S. Congress, MacArthur Fellows, Rhodes Scholars (375), Marshall Scholars (255), and Fulbright Scholars than any other university in the United States. Its alumni include eight U.S. presidents and 188 living billionaires, the most of any university. Fourteen Turing Award laureates have been Harvard affiliates. Students and alumni have won 10 Academy Awards, 48 Pulitzer Prizes, and 110 Olympic medals (46 gold), and they have founded many notable companies including Microsoft, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Blackrock and Facebook.

The Global Networking Night is a unique event that brings members of the Harvard community together on one night in cities all around the world to connect with fellow alumni and current students. Over 5,000 alumni, recent graduates, and current students took part around the world in the last Global Networking Night. This is an opportunity to build new connections, reconnect with classmates, and share your experiences with current students.

The Melbourne event will be held in the relaxed setting of the Treasury Gardens. Please BYO drinks and snacks and RSVP by sending an e-mail to support@oxbridge.com.au. Attendance is free by is limited to the first 3 RSVPs.

About Professor Michael Vitale

Michael is chairman of the Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health and a director of Australian Science Innovations Inc. He is president of the Harvard Club of Australia – Victoria and a member of the Victorian Branch Committee of AusBiotech.

Michael holds a BA in mathematics (Oakland University, USA), a PhD in mathematics (Dartmouth College, USA), and an MBA (Harvard Business School).
