Networking is undoubtedly an important aspect of any business venture. Oxbridge is pleased to invite members who wish to attend the Thanksgiving dinner in Brisbane or in Sydney as a guest of Oxbridge. Harvard alumni (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Harvard_University_people) are well known for their illustrious careers including the current CEO of the National Australia Bank Ross McEwan and the Justice of the High Court – the highest court in Australia Justice Stephen Gageler.

HCV members, other Harvard alumni and guests are invited to join HCV for an evening of holiday cheer on Friday the 9th of December. Catch up with fellow alumni and meet new HCV members for a relaxed evening of drinks and canapés.
This year the club is grateful once again for the generous offer from HCV Councillor Lisa Hennessy and her husband Jack Hennessy to host the event at their home in Toorak.

Jack Hennessy
Mr. Hennessy is a Managing Director at Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA), an Asia focused private equity fund with over US$21 billion in fee paying assets under management. He brings over 25 years of experience in the private equity industry and is based in BPEA’s Singapore office where he is involved in originating, monitoring and exiting BPEA’s investments. Mr. Hennessy focuses on investing in the for-profit education (K12 schools and vocational /undergraduate / postgraduate colleges), business & information services and healthcare sectors.
He serves as a member of BPEA’s Investment Committee and Portfolio Management Committee, and as Chairman of BPEA’s Exit and Liquidity Committee.
Mr. Hennessy was an Adjunct Professor at INSEAD from 2006 to 2008 where he taught the Leveraged Buyout (LBO) course. He received an MBA from INSEAD and Bachelor Degrees in both Engineering (with Honours) and Science from Monash University in Australia.
Lisa Hennessy
An accomplished executive and 30 years of experience including executive roles within organisations including Bain, General Electric, and Del Monte Foods in multiple markets including US, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. Currently seeking Non-Executive Directorships in medium-to-large listed entities. Ideal opportunities include those where M&A, international expansion and/or commercialising innovation is part of the business’s growth agenda or evolution.
Key Experience
• Experience as a Non-executive Director of ASX-listed entity
• Extensive Remuneration and Nomination Committee experience including recruiting and transitioning new executives. Developing or evaluate executive incentive schemes
• Able to provide valuable insights and experience-based counsel on mergers and acquisitions including post-merger integration.
• Practical knowledge and insights on raising funds through debt financing, capital markets, private equity and angel investors.
• US and Australian capital market experience with very strong financial acumen.
